As former Chief Executive Officer of GRIT (Edmonton), Barb has provided long-standing leadership and advocacy for the advancement of equity and inclusion for children with developmental disabilities and their families, within early learning and child care services. Barb’s commitment to improve quality and inclusive practices continues through her consultative work with Connecting Canada (a federally funded, early learning and child care innovation project with GRIT) and as Co-chair of the City of Edmonton Council for Early Learning. Barb also serves on the Bredin Centre Board, aimed to create pathways to education and employment for Albertans.
